For example in the instance of idealizedesigns.com idealizedesigns is the domain name, but the .com is important to identify it with because it is only accessible with the .com following the domain name. People can be lead to your site by giving them just the domain name and .whatever which they can enter into the address bar of a web browser, such as Internet Explorer. For example, we have idealizedesigns.com on our business cards so people can visit the site.
